Welcome to Aspire at Discovery Park, Purdue University’s newest on-campus luxury apartments. Our luxurious, state-of-the-art community is located just south of State Street, only a few steps from class. Aspire at Discovery Park has been designed and built to include the best amenities, furniture, finishes, and modern technology in West Lafayette. ARE YOU CURRENTLY LEASING?

WHAT IS AN INDIVIDUAL LEASE?
An individual lease provides each resident with their own separate lease agreement and responsibility for only their rental installments. By signing an individual lease, you are only taking responsibility for your rental installments and lease term and will not be held liable for any delinquent amounts owed by your roommate(s). The individual lease agreements protects you in the event your roommates cannot make their payments, or if they leave their lease agreement early.
 
HOW LONG IS THE LEASE AGREEMENT?
The lease term is 11.5 months; the term begins August 17, 2019 and ends July 31, 2020.
 
IS THERE AN APPLICATION FEE?
Yes, our property requires a $50 application fee per applicant, and per guarantor.
 
DO I HAVE TO PAY A SECURITY DEPOSIT?
Yes, a security deposit will be required in the amount of $300 per lease agreement based upon approved credit. The security deposit is fully refundable (minus any outstanding charges or new charges for damages beyond normal wear and tear, fees, fines, etc.) once you have completely moved out of the community.
 
WHAT UTILITIES ARE INCLUDED IN THE RENT?
In addition to access to all of Aspire at Discovery Park’s amenities, your rent also includes High-speed internet, cable TV, water/sewer and trash. Electricity is not included in your rental installment and will be billed back to you directly on a monthly basis. 
 
HOW DO I PAY MY RENT?
Aspire makes paying rent easy! Residents can pay rent online via ACH or Credit Card at https://www.liveaspirepurdue.com, or in the community management office. 


ARE YOU PET FRIENDLY?
Yes - we welcome two pets per home. Our community does not currently accept the following breeds: Akita Chow, Doberman, Pit Bull, Rottweiler, American Straffordshire Terriers, English Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Wolf hybrids, or any mix of the mentioned breeds are not allowed. For more information, please contact the leasing office. 
 
HOW DOES THE ROOMMATE MATCHING PROGRAM WORK?
If you’re applying to one of our floorplans that contains more than one bedroom, the application offers an exclusive roommate-matching service. If you would like to participate, you can complete the roommate matching form built into your application. The form allows you to make notes of any friends applying at Aspire that you would like to live with. The form also asks you to input your hobbies, interests, sleep routines, pet preferences, and study habits. Inputting this information helps the system make the best possible recommendations for someone who may have similar interests and that you will be most compatible to live with throughout your lease term.   
 
WHAT IF I DON'T LIKE MY ROOMMATE AFTER MOVE IN?
If there are differences between roommates that cannot be resolved, residents may be able to transfer depending upon availability. A transfer fee may apply. Please contact the community office for more information.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I NEED TO BREAK MY LEASE?
In the event that your plans change, Aspire may be able to assist with finding a replacement depending upon availability at the community. Per the lease contract, you will be required to find someone to take over the remaining days and financial obligation left on your lease until an acceptable replacement is found. Once the new tenant moves into your space, there will be a $200 re-letting fee charged to your account.
 
WHAT FURNITURE IS INCLUDED IN THE FURNISHED APARTMENT?
Our furnished apartments feature everything you need to feel at home:
  • Bedroom furniture will vary based on the floorplan you choose – all unit types will include a full-sized bed, desk, chair, and dresser
  • Living Room: couch, coffee table, side table, chair, entertainment center
  • Kitchen: stainless steel appliances, bar stools or kitchen table and chairs 
  • Washer & Dryer included in all units
