Welcome to Aspire at Discovery Park, Purdue University’s newest on-campus luxury apartments. Our luxurious, state-of-the-art community is located just south of State Street, only a few steps from class. Aspire at Discovery Park has been designed and built to include the best amenities, furniture, finishes, and modern technology in West Lafayette. 

How can we help?

Leasing

  Are you currently leasing?

Yes - you can apply online or visit our leasing office located at 1245 W. State St., West Lafayette, IN 47906. You can also call us at 765-876-3062 for more details.

  What is an individual lease?

An individual lease provides each resident with their own separate lease agreement and responsibility for only his/her rental installments and parking charges. By signing an individual lease, you are only taking responsibility for your rental installments and lease terms and will not be held liable for any delinquent amounts owed by your roommate(s). The individual lease agreements protects you in the event your roommates cannot make their payments, or if they leave their lease agreement early.

  How long is the lease agreement?

The lease term is 11.5 months; the term begins mid-August and ends July 31st of the following year.

  What should I do if I need to break my lease?

In the event that your plans change, Aspire may be able to assist with finding a replacement depending upon availability at the community. Per the lease contract, you will be required to find someone to take over the remaining days and financial obligation left on your lease until an acceptable replacement is found. Once the new tenant moves into your space, there will be a $200 re-letting fee charged to your account.

Availability

  Do you have any immediate availability for the 2019/2020 school year?

Yes, we have limited spaces available. Please visit our floor plans page to find availability or contact the Community Office.

  When will you begin leasing for the 2020/2021 school year?

We are currently accepting applications for the 2020/2021 school year. Please call the Community Office to get started or start your Rent

  What utilities are included in the rent?

In addition to access to all of Aspire at Discovery Park’s amenities, your rent also includes high-speed internet, cable TV, water/sewer and trash. Electricity is not included in your rental installment and residents will need to setup an account with Duke Energy directly.

  How do I pay rent?

Aspire makes paying rent easy! Residents can pay rent online on the ResidentPortal, or in our office, which is open seven days per week.

Pet Regulations

  Do you accept pets?

Yes - our pet friendly community welcomes two furry friends per home.

  Do you have any breed restrictions?

Our community does not accept the following breeds: Akita, Chow, Doberman, Pit Bull, Rottweiler, American Staffordshire Terriers, English Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Wolf hybrids or any mix of the mentioned breeds are not allowed. For further information regarding our pet policy, please contact the community office.

  What are the fees for having a pet?

Pet fees may apply - please contact the Community Office for additional information.

  Is there a weight limit or restriction?

At this time, we do not have a weight restriction.

Furnishings

  What furniture is included in furnished units?

Bedroom furniture will vary slightly based on the floor plan you choose however all unit types will include a full-size bed, desk, chair and dresser. Living room will have a couch, coffee table, side table, chair and entertainment center. Kitchens come equipped with stainless steel appliances, bar stools or a kitchen table and chairs. Washer and dryer is included in all units.

Roommates

  How does the roommate matching program work (individual leases only)?

If you’re applying to one of our private bedroom floorplans, the application offers an exclusive roommate-matching service. If you would like to participate, you can complete the roommate matching form built into your application. The form allows you to make notes of any friends applying at Northside that you would like to live with. The form also asks you to input your hobbies, interests, sleep routines, pet preferences, and study habits. Inputting this information helps us match you with someone with similar interests, you’ll like living with throughout your lease term.

  What if I don't like my roommate after move-in?

If there are differences between roommates that cannot be resolved, residents may be able to transfer as rooms are available. A transfer fee will apply. Please contact the community office for more information.

Renewing Your Lease

  What is a renewal lease?

If you are already a resident, you do not have to reapply. Instead, you will complete a renewal lease that will renew your contract for Fall 2020.

  Am I guaranteed the same apartment when I renew my lease?

Unfortunately we cannot guarantee your spot. All leases are signed on a first-come, first-served basis which is why you should renew your lease as soon as possible.

  How do I renew my lease?

  1. Login to the ResidentPortal and find your renewal offer located in the red banner at the top of the page.
  2. Click "Review offer" and follow the prompts.
  3. Once you click "Complete Renewal", our leasing team will be notified that you have accepted your renewal offer and will generate your updated lease for signature.
  4. You will receive an email when your lease is available on the ResidentPortal. All parties (including any guarantors) are required to sign the lease document.
  5. Once you have signed your lease, you have officially secured your spot for next year!
